What you actually do
This is a nine-hour private tour run by Planeta Pautado. It departs from Porto and heads into the Douro Valley, where the day is built around two vineyards and a river cruise. You book it as a private booking, not a shared group departure. The operator states a guide in English, and the tour is also available in Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Porto is the starting point, and the Douro Valley is where the vineyard stops and the river cruise take place.

What your booking covers, what it does not, and what remains open
Three states apply here: included, not included and not stated. Where something is not stated it is simply unconfirmed, so a quick question before you book settles it.

What you pay, and what is extra
Entry price is from 488 EUR. Admission, food and hotel pickup are explicitly included. The operator offers free cancellation. In its Douro Valley category of 64 listings, this price ranks 63rd, among the most expensive 2 percent of the group, where prices run from 14 to 489 EUR.
Admission included is rare here: only 3 other listings in the group of 63 state the same. Hotel pickup included is also in the minority: only 18 other listings state it.

The order follows how many reviews each has, never the commission, and each column comes from the same fields, so the comparison holds.
Ratings count for each option
The count of ratings comes first, the score in brackets after it, because a score alone says little without the people standing behind it.
With fewer than about ten ratings, chance shapes a score more than the experience does.

How far to trust the rating
The tour has a 5.0 rating from 22 reviews. The score is perfect, but the number of ratings behind it is modest. It ranks 51st of 64 listings in its Douro Valley category by number of reviews. That puts it below listings with hundreds or thousands of ratings, so read the 5.0 as a strong result from a small sample.
The day, stop by stop
The stops come in the order the day usually runs, each with what is there and the figures behind it; the data sheet holds the rest.
Pickup where you are staying
You are collected where you are staying, and the stated duration counts from that point.

The best time to go
A nine-hour day with vineyard stops and a river cruise is most comfortable in mild weather. May and September give highs of 20 °C and 24 °C, with lows of 12 °C and 15 °C. June is similar, with a 24 °C high and a 14 °C low.
July and August are the hottest, with highs of 25 °C and 26 °C and lows of 16 °C. Because the tour runs for nine hours, you cover the warmer afternoon, and in summer the vineyard grounds and river section sit in the heat of the day. January and December are coolest, with highs of 14 °C and lows of 5 °C to 7 °C.
Aim for May, June or September for the best balance. The time of day matters less than the season, because nine hours spans both cooler and warmer parts.

What happens on the day
You leave Porto and the day moves through the Douro Valley. The two vineyards and the river cruise shape the nine hours. At the vineyards, the visit is part of the private itinerary, and the river cruise is the other main section. Weather affects the outdoor parts most: the vineyard grounds and the river are where you feel heat, cool air or rain.
In summer, the afternoon stretch carries the highest temperatures; in cooler months, those open stops are where the lower temperatures matter.
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
This suits travelers who want the private format and the full nine-hour Douro Valley itinerary. It does not suit travelers whose main aim is the lowest possible entry price or the reassurance of a very large review base. If that is you, look at Porto: Douro Valley Wine Tour with a Sommelier & Boat Trip, 10 hours, from 124 €, with a 5.0 from 740 reviews.
Another option is From Porto: Tastings at 2 Wineries, Chef's Lunch & Boat Tour, 9 hours, from 134 €, rated 4.9 from 2,463 reviews.
