How this site earns money

How Porto Tours earns money: commissions from GetYourGuide, Stay22, TourRadar, Viator and Amazon when you book or buy, at no extra cost to you.

Porto Tours is free to read because of affiliate links. Many pages recommend tours, cruises, airport transfers and places to stay, and link to the companies that sell them. If you follow one of those links and book or buy, the company may pay us a commission. We add nothing to the price: it is set by the company you book with.

Pages that contain such links say so near the top, and every link to a partner is marked for search engines as sponsored.

Our partners

- GetYourGuide, for day tours, river cruises, tastings and tickets. - Booking.com and other booking sites, through Stay22, for hotels, guesthouses and apartments. - TourRadar, for multi-day trips. - Viator, for private airport transfers. - Amazon, for travel gear. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

A commission is paid only when a booking or purchase is completed and not cancelled, and it comes out of the partner's own margin. We never receive your payment details, and the partners do not tell us who you are.

How recommendations stay independent

No company can pay to appear on this site, to be ranked higher or to be reviewed more kindly:

- A tour has to be rated at least 3.5 out of 5, and a place to stay at least 7.0 out of 10, before it is recommended. A tour or a stay needs at least 10 reviews behind that score. - Rankings come from the partners' published ratings and review counts, not from commission rates. - Where the best answer earns us nothing, such as the metro from the airport or a free viewpoint, we say so.

The details are on the editorial principles page.
