Why go, and how to fit it in
A museum and boutique devoted to filigree, this is somewhere to watch artisans at work and learn how the craft is made. Displays cover the history of filigree, and an artisan demonstration brings the process closer. The filigree workshop is what visitors talk about most, with an instructor helping you try the technique. Handmade pieces are available to buy, so the visit can end with something you take home.
People who enjoy craft, handmade objects and watching skilled makers will get the most from it. Shoppers looking for a handmade piece will find the boutique side appealing. If you want to see the work rather than only the finished pieces, the demonstration and workshop are the main draw.
